Let me introduce myself. My name is Steve Allen. I started shooting video as a hobby in the ‘80s. My son was born in ’86 and my daughter followed in ’90. They grew up in front of the video camera. We played around making music videos for fun. In 1995 tragedy struck when my wife, their mother, passed away. My daughter was 4 at the time so most of the memories she has of her Mom are from the videos I shot. This was when I realized how important video REALLY is. As the years went by I decided to devote my life to preserving memories for others. I strived to learn as much as possible about videography. I went to seminars, conventions, joined professional associations and searched for everything I could get my hands on relating to video. In 1999 I created Sonrise Video Productions. We did several videos for missionaries and started shooting weddings. What started out as a part-time business quickly turned into a full time profession. Since that time we have shot, edited and created several hundred weddings and numerous other event videos. We have progressed to high definition equipment and are now one of the top ranking award winning video companies in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex.
